As Half Day working is a benifit provided to the employees who work for entire six days, therefore an employee who is on leave on Saturday will not be working for entire six days, hence the leave sanctioned would be for full day.
another instance is like working for half day entitles an employee to earn full days salary therefore if s/he wishes to be on leave s/he will have to reemburse it with full day's leave....
