YES IT HAS RELEVANCE, HR IS BOUND TO IMPRESS THE INTERNAL CUSTOMERS/CONSUMERS ON BEHALF OF THE MANAGEMENT.
I MEAN THAT HR HAS TO DO STRONG INTERNAL MARKETING WITH THE EMPLOYEES OF THE ORGANIZATION, ON BEHALF OF THE COMPANY/MANAGEMENT, SO AS TO CREATE A PLEASANT AND AMICABLE WORKING ENVIRONMENT
BEST EXAMPLE IS THE BPO IN MUMBAI FORMERLY KNOWN AS E-SERVE.

Your post is really nice but not words.It seems you are a marketing guy, not HR.This forum is to share knowledge with each other.Its really praise worthy that you have posted numerous articles here.But it doesnot mean by any sense that you would force individuals to give comments on it.If I am not wrong your purpose of posting was to let everyone gain knowledge through "BLUE OCCEAN STRATEGY",the no. of downloads seems that you have helped many people.I think that should give you satisfaction. Many of the people are tied up with many kinds of work , they cannot give comments to every post(but that doesn't mean they are intentionally not posting their comments).So, we expect from you not to post such insulting languages further in the forum.

Octavious i saour anger in the lines you addressedfor the cite members but dear atleast you are getting response and some people are praising you, unlike me who have posted certain queries where people have not even bothered to look at not talking of any response.

We could really understand ur frustrations but being a HR you could not be so harsh coz we are the people who give more importance to the term "attitude".
We really appreciate your efforts & knowledge sharing but Nobody really compels anyone for any type of contribution so whatever you do, do it whole heartedly.
This is what my opinion is, i'm sorry if i've mentioned anything wrong.

Thanks for the post, your concern towards the reply s are true and a little bit of negative marketing is required at times, but the same could be a little bit mild ad still do the trick right,
Any ways i didn't find a way to use it as i have already read the book, and for some one who has not read it would not be of great help as the concept is not so easy to understand,

Good One Octavious!!

I do agree that people need to post their comments or show their gratitude when they download some info posted by someone.

I also urge the senior members to respond to the queries posted under "Talk to Seniors" column. Often i see lot of queries left unanswered for months.

Also the new members should be taught how to search for any info before posting such repeated requests in the forum. If they are not taught then they sure cannot be blamed for posting the query which looks repetitive for the others.

I agree completely to this statement of yours Octavious "LOTS OF YOUNG BUDDING HR PROFESSIONAL JOIN THIS GROUP EVERY DAY IN THE HOPE THAT THEY WILL RECEIVE GUIDANCE OR ANSWERS TO THEIR QUERY OR APPRECIATION FOR THEIR WORK." If we are not able to meet their expectation then the very purpose of CiteHR gets defeated.

As members of this community we should never let that happen. We should help each other. Thank each other. No excuses made. We should pledge ourselves that if we come across a query for which we have the resources to answer we should answer immediately no mater how small the query is. This atitude of us will create a healthy culture in CiteHR. We sweat our days in office trying to grow a good culture in the place we work. Why cant we try to maintain the same in this forum?

Hope other members do agree to it. :) If any of my words have hurted anyone plz note it was purely unintentional.

Not everybody comments Mr.Octavious, but then that does not mean that they are rude or shameless.....you have unknowingly disregarded their feelings entirely....

IF IT WAS NOT FOR MY CRITICS, I WOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO PERFORM BETTER BY EACH PASSING DAY, BECAUSE IN THE ZEAL TO PROVE MY CRITICS WRONG, I HAVE DELIVERED BETTER RESULTS THAN I USUALLY WOULD HAVE IN AN UNCHALLENGED SITUATION

I HAVE CERTAIN POINTS TO HIGHLIGHT HERE IN, AND THEY ARE AS FOLLOWS

1.I HAVE MADE A STRONG STATEMENT ON MY POST AND I HAVE CLEARLY STATED AS TO WHAT IS THE OUTCOME I WISH, NO WHERE I HAVE REQUESTED FOR EMPATHY/SYMPATHY OR FOR ANY ADVISE.

2.INSTEAD OF UNDERSTANDING MY REQUIREMENT, I HAVE BEEN PROVIDED WITH UNSOLICITED ADVISE, THUS CREATING A UNNECESSARY ARGUMENT OVER A SIMPLE MATTER

3.I HAD GIVEN TWO OPEN CHOICE EITHER TO DOWNLOAD SHAMELESSLY OR DOWN LOAD WITH YOUR VIEWS /RATING, BUT STILL SOME MEMBERS HEREIN TOOK THE THIRD OPTION WHICH I NEVER PROVIDED THAT IS OF GIVING A UNSOLICITED ADVICE AND GUIDANCE

4.SOME OF THE MEMBERS HERE IN HAVE ADVISED ON THE TOPIC, EVEN WITHOUT READING UNDERSTANDING THE PRINCIPLE OR THE SUBLIME MESSAGE BEHIND THE POST AND COMMANDS THERE TO.

FOR THE ABOVE POST, I FEEL THAT AS HR PERSON WE HAVE NOT DONE JUSTICE TO OUR PROFESSION BECAUSE AS A HR WE ARE SUPPOSED TO

I WOULD APOLOGIZE, TO ALL MEMBERS HERE IN WHO WOULD HAVE BEEN HURT BY MY STRONG/SHREWD REMARKS. BUT THE SAME WAS REQUIRED TO GET MY CAUSE THE PEOPLE OF THE FORUM

hi octavius...oh my my my my....i neither have the time nor inclination to fight for a futile cause....do us all a favour....join yoga classes! it will surely relax you..learn to live life simply....as an HR person one shudn't complicate matters...i agree...SO PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH!
If you dont like unsolicited 'advise' (advice actually) from people then also dont give it....learn to take feedback then force your 'cause' on others....or atleast learn to use professional language...how on earth were you able to cook up such a mail? i dont want to compete with you on this....you win hands down...happy?

Hi...just want to share this with you...you are doing a great job but i might be wrong but would request you to kindly stop using those words in the public forum. We all learn and grow by experiences and knowledge grows by sharing and shrink if kept within.

We can not stop sharing of good things even if it is not acknowledged by our own communities (HR - people). Ofcourse this is very sad part but presume they (all downloaders are engulfed in such an interesting things that they all forget their basic skill of acknowledging and appreciating the good...)

If the members are downloading your posting this means that they are indirectly appreciating your caliber and your intelligence, and automatically showing gratitude by doing so. but it really hurt the trust of the members. Members on citehr are always curious about your positing. It does not means that you put so hard words on the board. Being a super moderator member on citehr you should be more humble like PBS kumar , Peer M & many more. Always keep in mind big names and big powers comes with more responsibilities.

Hi...i am one of those that ur comments have been directed on...i have downloaded alot but have not stop much to thank you and others that have freely given...
But it is not for the reasons u have stated although u are partly right....Basically my laptop, processing speed and time on line doesnt allow me to stay long after the days work before i start dosing off to sleep.....but i rest assured i appreciate the sharing of materials and the good intentions behind it....im of a similar frame of mind and intention to share and upload wat i have....just that u have to allow for some time as i find my way around and adjust.... and just to add furthur.....beyond HRM is the principle of give and share without expecting much in return....i know we are in a business world which preaches competitiveness ...but look at the global financial crises and its Capitalism based on competittion and greed....where has it reached...and the negative impacts spiralling across the world at this moment.....even the EU Nations are meeting and talking about overhauling the system....they use the phrase "immoral Capitalism" ...so wat you are doing is pure...even if a few of us appreciate ur actions ....usually it is the few and not the many that will save the world...keep the faith bro....

many things which we use in our day to day like are not recogniced as STRATEGY .we follow them "BLUE OCCEAN STRATEGY" could be said as low risk strategy indeed on of those day to day strategy of comman man (not to fight ......for each silly thing) really it is a great tool in corparate level thanks for sharing and also manking other to react on it

You should not be so sensitive about people downloading without rating or showing appreciation.
It seems that you're biased towards having a dominant personality yet with a sense of urgency. Such types usually seek to have the credit for a job done.

I can understand the feeling one would have when people read through your post, download the article and not even share a comment. But then, will it be right on the part of the author to make strong statements without thinking about what the reader would feel?
Isn't writing strong words as unsporty as not sharing comments? Though i know that everyone has his own way of dealing with issues, but as a reader of your post, never felt that the intention of your post was to help but rather to insult. Giving without expecting anything in return is what makes the giving act meaningful. Else its a business...
My intention with this post is not to hurt your feelings or that of anyone else in this forum, but my perception of this forum is where people come together and learn by sharing...Correct me if i am wrong.
