Hi HR Professionals,
I have 7+ years of working experience, out of which 2 years of experience are in the HR department. I want to upgrade myself with theoretical knowledge and move ahead in the HR department only. For the same, I got in touch with two B schools in Ahmedabad: NIM (National Institute of Management) and ISBM (Indian School of Business Management & Administration). Both of these schools are ISO 9001:2000 certified B Schools, accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Services (UKAS), and approved by the Indian Council for Distance Education (I-Code).
URL for both: www.nimonnet.com and www.isbm.org.in.
I am a Diploma holder, so I cannot get admission to other places like ICFAI, XLRI, or Symbiosis. Therefore, I met with these institutions. Is it preferable to go ahead with either of them? Is it helpful or all fake? I request your suggestions on the matter.
Please help me.
Regards,
Khyati

Hi Khyati,
I would suggest not going for NIM as it has no reputation in the market. They can only provide you with a certificate, not a degree. The certificate holds no value in the market, and on the other hand, you will not derive any useful information from the material provided by them.
You could consider MET Mumbai Education Trust. It has a strong political background and is located in Bombay. MET has a center in Ahmedabad-C.G.Road. You can contact them at 079 26449099, 9327076699, or 9898810010.
Thanks,
Jagdish Sukhia

Thanks, Mr. Jagdish, for your valuable suggestion. I had a word with the MET team, but their criteria require a minimum of graduation, and diploma holders are not welcomed. Therefore, MET will not work for me. If there is anything else, please let me know.

Dear All,
As many people say, that private institutes only provide certificates, and that is also not considered valuable. However, why do these private B-schools generate business of 1.5 - 2.5 crores from the Indian market per month? These figures are not fake. Many of our senior officials also hold MBA certificates. Nevertheless, these certificates are not worth it. It's like purchasing a piece of paper, not knowledge. Am I right?

Hi Friends,
Thank you for your suggestions. What about Xavier Institute, which is offering a two-year PG Diploma with weekend classes? Please let me know if this course is best suited for professionals.

Hi Khyati,
I saw an article in the newspaper about NIM that their Ahmedabad office was raided by the police because they were providing fake certificates. The newspaper was Times of India. So, it's better if you don't choose NIM; you can consider checking with ISBM. I haven't heard of such things about them. It's best to verify before making a decision.
