Dear Sutapa,

There are different technical and functional modules in SAP. If you have knowledge in C, C++, Java, .NET, etc., then you can opt for technical modules. In functional modules, SD, PP, MM, and FICO are the different modules.

Hi,

I have completed M.Com and am currently working as a teacher. I am interested in pursuing a SAP course. Could you please advise me on which course would be suitable for me and what the job prospects would be after completing the course?

Dear Sutapa,

As you have completed your MCom in SAP FICO/ORACLE Financials, etc., it could help you to progress into the role of a Functional Consultant. As a functional consultant (ERP), it is not mandatory to have any technical knowledge or qualifications, as your job role will be entirely related to your expertise and knowledge on the functional side. So, if you have a desire to transition into the IT space while remaining in your domain, SAP/ORACLE, etc., could be beneficial.

Hi Sutapa,

To be frank, just going through an SAP course thinking that it will be helpful in exploring good job opportunities is totally wrong. It can only be helpful if:

1. You have sound corporate experience in your domain area.
2. At least 2-3 years of domain experience.
3. Should have real experience of a life cycle in SAP as most of the questions are based on this part in the interview.
4. Finally, most of the companies providing this kind of training programs are fake in the market. They promise to give dummy projects and all at the time of enrollment, but ultimately, you are left only cheated.

So, be careful...

Best of luck.
