Hi guys..
What are the various retention strategies that are implemented in BPO for talent retention.
Some of them are:
*) Compensation and Benefits (Benefits are hygine..isnt it)
*) Reward and recognition schemes
*) Culture/Fun @ work
Could ppl out here throw some detail into the specifics and what are the other retention strategies that are used.
Am actually doing a project for a leading I-bank which is setting up its back office operations(Basically captive) in Blore.

Dear Ram,
Other benefits may be:
*) Fun for family kind of things - like family parties,
*) Arranging picnics & tours for employees,
*) Very employee friendly policies, eg - casual dress code,
*) Ontime pick & drop facility,
*) Free internet bay at the office premises for the employees,
*) Smoking zone, kids zone etc.,
*) Celebrating the indian festivals at the office premises as u cannot give
leaves to the employees in an international BPO on indian festivals.
*) Indoor games - like chess, TT, Carrom, Billiards, Fushball, gymnasium.
and there can be many more if you start thinking, why don`t you do an
interview kind of thing with the people who are working with some cll
centres, they will be the best to help you out.

Hey what abt havng a music room whr there would be will be juke box. also allowing the sales agents or people taking calls acting as TLs or Team Leaders for a day.....

May I add something.........
Since these all facilities are given in many of the BPOs.They get good meal,hygienic environment,pick up n drop,and many other facilities, but then also this industry has highest attrition after insurance.
First of all we should Identify the reason behind it.
You know who all joins BPO,Under grads,graduates,and other who jus dont have any other option and do not think of a long term career here.
and the most important aspect is that people think that Experience off BPO is not counted.this mentality of people create high turn over rate.if we will make the mentality of people that it is a reputeted job in society it may work!!!!!!!!!! I SUPPOSE.
