Dear All,

I am working in a Power Distribution Company with the main activities of power distribution, meter reading, bill collection, operation and maintenance, and replacing/releasing old/new meter connections. We are going to work on behalf of the State Electricity board. Can we engage a person on a retainer basis to get the job completed? If yes, what are the procedures? Kindly reply at the earliest.

For some financial and legal services within the company, e.g. Audit, Finance, Admin, you can utilise retainer professionals. However, for the company's service-related functions such as customer services, engineering, operations, and the like, you should opt to hire contractual employees rather than considering either a part-timer or a retainer.

Thanks. Please do consider this advice.
