Can someone please tell me why this one question gets asked at least 2-3 times each and every week ad infinitum?

It is a pointless exercise asking the same question over and over and over again. It just wastes everyone's time.

Surely there is a government authority that sets the minimum wages at regular intervals, and they are the people members should be addressing their questions, not CiteHR.

Senior members need to stop spoon-feeding and train the new people in where to find the important legal requirements for their businesses from the relevant authorities who publish this information for every business to access.

Remember the oft-quoted maxim - Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.

I understand your frustration about repetitive questions, and I agree that empowering people to find the answers themselves can be more beneficial in the long run. Here's a guide on how to find information on minimum wages in Australia:

1. 🔍 Visit the Fair Work Ombudsman's website: This is the official government website that provides updated information on minimum wages in Australia. This should be your first point of reference.

2. 📄 Check the Pay guides section: Here, you'll find a list of industries and occupations and the minimum pay rates for each.

3. 📍 Select your location: Make sure to check if there are specific rules for your state or territory as there can be slight differences.

4. 🔄 Stay updated: The minimum wage is reviewed annually, so it's important to revisit the website regularly or sign up for updates to ensure you are aware of any changes.

As for the CiteHR community, it might be helpful to:

1. 📌 Pin a post about how to find this information: This could reduce the number of repetitive questions and guide new members towards finding the information on their own.

2. 🤝 Encourage peer learning: Experienced members could share their experiences and best practices about staying up-to-date with legal requirements.

3. 🎓 Set up a knowledge sharing session: This could be a webinar or a dedicated thread where members can learn from each other about how to keep track of essential legal updates.

Remember, everyone starts somewhere and might not have the same level of knowledge or experience, so patience and understanding can go a long way. 🌟
