Hi, friends,
pl, find below the sat off proposal. i need your valuable suggestions on that.
FIVE (5) DAY WEEK
Rationale
Image, Branding & Perception:
Creating a positive, well-perceived corporate image is a basic component of every business, and in essence, lays a foundation on which companies can build their future. Creating a certain perception about the business, its products and services in the minds of the targeted customers, and by doing so, help to establish the position in the local, regional, national or global market economy
Hiring:
In order for the company to attract the best talent in a short period of time across different departments and also based on feedback from various HR quarters, one of the major dissuading factors which makes COMPANY a not so attractive proposition, is the fact that we follow a 6 day week whereas the industry norm is generally a 5 day week.
Based on the above we propose the following option:
Option: Work from 0900 am to 1830 pm Monday to Friday follow rigid lunch
break 1300-1330. All Saturdays are off. The extra 4-5 hours (view 30 min gained by
coming in early and lunch nowadays is flexible with the average time off by
an employee during lunch being around 45 minutes on an average) gained during
the week can be equated to the productive time spent now on Sat (0930-1330).
COST ANALYSIS: Needs to calculate
We are sharing with you the feedback which has come in from the employees
Total Strength of COMAPANY SAT WORKING(2nd , 4th and 5th ) SAT OFF Response Remarks
87 NIL 87 Taken feedback from employees and reached at consensus that all sat SHOULD be off.
We are also enclosing a list of companies primarily from the Product services who have a five day week and a six day week.
5 day week 5 ½ day week Earlier 6 Day and changed to 5 days

Pros

2. Attract prospective employees.
3. Improve efficiency and productivity of the employees.
4. As per statutory norm companies need to follow a 48 working hours per week.
Cons
Business Impact due to a five day week.
Psychological effect of the employees to come in on a weekend
Going forward cartain business units will operate
I hope i will get immediate response from all seniors

Really good proposal. It would be very nice if all companies adopt and follow this, and make it 5 working days from Monday to Friday, compulsorily. One more thing, the employer has to think of the employees as well. Please suggest or express views regarding this matter.

Hi,
Very good initiative taken. I think nowadays this is the best way to motivate employees in IT companies. Definitely, it would affect the attrition rate positively. Very well drafted. You have covered almost all the aspects that may arise during the course of approval.
Yes, the loss of work-hours may be compensated with the high motivation of the employees by increasing the working hours by only half an hour. Moreover, coming in on Saturday for a half day may lead to the employees' suffering as they may have planned extra personal activities for that day. It could result in a high commitment level of employees towards the company.
Last but not least, good work done! 😄

5-Day Week:
Focus on:
Priority Basis:
First and foremost, a 5-day workweek promotes happy employees by giving them the opportunity to work hard for all 5 days and enjoy Saturday and Sunday. These two days off provide employees with the option to plan short trips and picnics, which may not be possible with a 6-day workweek.
Secondly, emphasize cost savings as a key advantage that can impress the company. Estimate the approximate savings on transportation, electricity, and pantry expenses to ensure that your proposal is accepted. Prepare a draft and post it here for further review.
