Dear sir, My exit date was 22/06/2022 in the previous company. However, the present company has incorrectly stated my joining date as 17/06/2022, whereas I actually joined the present company on 23/06/2022. Will this discrepancy lead to potential issues of dual employment, and can this be rectified now? Thank you.

Hi If the actual DOJ is 23.6.22 then it should be corrected. It’s more than a year. Please contact your HR and insist for it.

This is a gross mistake made by your present employer in recording a wrong date of joining prior to the actual joining date, especially while you were working at another establishment. You need to insist that HR rectify the mistake. If they don't, then file a case in court to issue a directive to both the present employer and the EPFO for rectification of the date. This can be done quite easily with the help of the relieving letter from the previous company and the joining letter. Your HR will then pursue you as you are doing now after receiving the notice from the court.
