The common requirement as per the Apprentice Act, 1961 is within a band of 2.5% to 10% of the total number of employees in the establishment. It shall comprise of Trade Apprentices, Optional Trade Apprentices, Technical Apprentices, Graduate Apprentices and Vocational Apprentices. The ratio system of one designated trade apprentice to every seven regular apprentice as was prevailing prior to the amendment of 2015 is not in force, I presume.
