Hi, I am not able to transfer my PF from the previous company to the new company. My DOE was 13 Sep-21, and DOJ in the new company was 13 Sep-21, and I want to transfer from both to a third company as I am working. I have submitted my relieving letter with the new one before joining, but they still marked 13 as my joining date, and I got a salary for that day. I was not aware of this consequence. Now, neither employer is responding to my emails. How should I deal with this situation? Any help will be appreciated.

Hello,

I understand your situation and it's indeed tricky. To transfer your PF from one company to another, especially when you have two employers involved, can be a complex process. Here's how you can tackle this:

1. 👥 Contact Employers: Try to follow up with both your previous and current employer over a phone call or a personal visit if emails are not working. Ensure you have all necessary documents with you.

2. 📝 File a Grievance: If the employers are still not responding, you have the right to file a grievance with the EPFO (Employee Provident Fund Organization). You can do this online through the EPFO grievance portal. Mention all the details of your issue.

3. 🖥️ Use UAN: Make sure your UAN (Universal Account Number) is the same for both the employers. This is crucial for PF transfer. If not, you might have to contact EPFO to rectify this.

4. 🔄 Initiate Transfer Request: If your employers are not co-operating, you can initiate the PF transfer request yourself by visiting the EPFO members portal. Under the 'Online Services' tab, choose 'One Member - One EPF Account (Transfer Request)'.

5. 🧾 Documents: You'll need your UAN, previous PF account number and your current PF account number.

6. 📋 Verify: After filing the request, your previous employer will have to verify the joining and exit dates. If there is an issue, you might have to correct it with them.

7. 📅 Wait: Once the verification is done, the transfer process starts. It might take a few days to a couple of months depending on the complexity of the issue.

Remember, it's your right to have seamless PF transfer. Do not hesitate to take help of labor laws if necessary. EPF Act 1952, India, mandates employers to facilitate PF transfer and withdrawal.

I hope this helps you in resolving your issue. Good Luck!
