Dear Adviser,

1. if someone did not pay PF ESIC to the employee as per the govt act what punishment he would get?
2. if someone has not deposited pf-esic for 1 yrs and wants to deposit pf esic to the employee so can he deposit both pf and esic?
3. I m not sure just I heard that pf accumulated in back date by giving a fine but about ESIC I m not sure.

so please guide me on what is the rule regulation and govt act for pf esic.

Hi

Employer need to pay along with interest for both PF and ESI.

ESI interest
An employer who does not pay the contribution within the time limit shall be liable to pay simple interest at the rate of 12% per annum for each day of the default or delay in payment of the contribution.

In addition to the above, under income tax act, the entire amount of unpaid dues is disallowed as an expense. I think the salary itself is disallowed for not paying statutory dues of PF, ESIC
