The maximum salary limit for eligibility for Bonus as per Payment of Bonus Act is Rs 21000 per month. This amount should be the same component that you consider for calculation of bonus. That is if your salary has components like HRA, Conveyance etc which are not considered for bonus calculation but only Basic and DA are considered, then for ineligibility to bonus also this Rs 21000 should be Basic and DA components only.
