Hi, I joined a leading MNC company in Hyderabad 3 months ago, and now my training is ongoing. However, I am not satisfied with the work I will have to do after the training because there is no scope for improvement in my skills.

Now, I am receiving calls from other MNCs for positions that I am passionate about. Therefore, I intend to leave my current organization before completing the training/probation period. In this scenario, I have some queries:

Resignation and Training Costs

1. If I resign from my current company, will I need to pay for the training costs?

Notice Period and Experience Letter

2. If I resign without serving a notice period, will I still receive an experience letter?

Disclosure of Experience and PF/UAN Information

3. Suppose I resign without notice and do not disclose this experience to my new employer. However, my current company has already created my PF and UAN. Will my new employer be able to access this information when setting up my PF and UAN?

Kindly clarify my questions.

Have you signed any bond/agreement for training? What does the separation clause mentioned in your appointment letter say about the notice period? Without knowing this information, it will be difficult to give proper advice. It will be a futile exercise for you not to disclose your current employment to your prospective employer(s) as a UAN is already created for you. Hiding this pertinent information may affect your BGV. Therefore, reveal true information.

Hi Hakkim, It all depends on the terms and conditions of the Appointment and Training Agreement signed by you. If you leave without informing, your company will proceed with disciplinary action, and you will receive a termination letter only, not an experience letter. Since the UAN is already created, you have no other option but to share the current UAN with your future employer. Even if you are not interested in continuing, discuss with HR for any way out.
