Retired on March 31, 2021, at the age of 58 years. My EPF contribution was done by my employer up to April 30, 2019 (one month extra). They updated the EPF service history as DOE EPF 31/03/2021 and DOES EPS 23/03/2021. Now my claim is being rejected, saying that the claim was rejected due to a difference in the date of exit and the received contribution. Additionally, the claim was rejected with WARNING-520464 for a mismatch between the summary and detail transactions in the member ledger. The employer is not taking any action. I need support.

Your problem should be solved by your employer. If the employer is not taking action, personally visit your PF office and explain the issue. There is a possibility that the employer may be instructed by the PF office to act properly.

I am also facing the issue of the withdrawal being rejected with the same message: "Claim Rejected WARNING-520464 THERE IS A MISMATCH BETWEEN SUMMARY AND DETAIL TRANSACTIONS IN MEMBER LEDGER. KINDLY." Now, what is this issue? I don't know. What are these summary and detail transactions, and who is going to correct it? My last organization, which is already in NCLT, has HR with no clue.

I believe that your actual date of retirement is 23-03-2021, and that is why the date of exit in EPS is recorded as 23-3-2021. That is not incorrect; it should be like that. Regarding PF, you can contribute to PF even now if you are still in service because, for PF, there are no age restrictions for contributions. Therefore, if your employer contributed one month extra, they should have set the date of exit as 30-4-2021. Then it would have been fine. However, they have exited you on 31st March instead of 30th April. This needs to be corrected. I believe that the employer cannot correct it online but can do it from the PF office. The employer has to take action and write a letter to the PF office to get it corrected. Since the employer has paid the April month's contribution, it is enough to establish that you had worked until 30th April 2021.

As suggested earlier, this should be done easily by your employer, or you can approach the PF office personally. If your employer is not responding promptly and it is not easy for you to reach the PF local office, alternatively, take a screenshot where your aforementioned message is displayed, upload it through the EPFiGMS option (you can find it in the left corner under services on the PF website), provide a brief description of your problem within 500 words, and follow all further guidance given by the PF office.
