What salary is to be mentioned during new member PF registration?
Is it the fixed basic salary or the earned basic for that particular month?
Second question:
If a worker (i.e., a daily wages paid worker) earns, for example, Rs. 665/- per day, then Rs. 665 x 26 = Rs. 17,290/-. In this case, while registering a new UAN for this worker, what EPF salary should be mentioned on the EPF portal?

The employees' notional wages, i.e., the salary/wages that the employee would be earning had they worked for the entire month, should be mentioned as salary at the time of joining EPF. This will decide whether the employee will become a member or not. As such, those who were not a member of the EPF with their earlier organization(s) and receive a salary of more than Rs 15,000 from your organization may be excluded from the coverage of EPF.
