I was working at a firm between November 2015 and February 2018. However, they didn't provide me with an employee ID and salary slip. They credited my salary to my bank account as promised in the offer letter. Additionally, I received a salary certificate (indicating my overall monthly salary), and I have a bank statement. Is this sufficient for the background check? I have recently received an offer from a new company, and their background check partner is requesting my Employee ID, salary slip, UAN number, and Form 16 for this company. Please advise me on what steps to take next.

You will have to explain the position to the BGC verification team. Probably you were not a member of PF, so no UAN. Were you drawing a salary greater than Rs. 15,000/- per month? You have the offer of appointment, salary certificate, and bank statement indicative of your employment. The question of whether this would suffice can only be answered by the BGC agency or prospective employer.
