I signed a bond for 2 years with Capgemini company, and I worked there for 3 years before resigning. I later withdrew my resignation but now wish to resign again after 20 days.

Is it possible for me to resign again so soon? Are there any HR policies that may prevent me from doing so? What could be the consequences of going against HR and my manager?

Thank you.

You can resign from the Job and your settlement will be done as per your employment terms.

Dear Colleague,

You had a bond for 2 years and served more than that and completed 3 years. Hence, there is no question of any relations to bond that is no longer existing. As far as withdrawing and resigning again, there is no bar on the number of such times legally. But morally and professionally, it will demonstrate that you are confused and struggling to make important decisions. Therefore, have deep thinking before resignation, and if you decide to leave, decide firmly. Resigning and then withdrawing and resigning again affect your professional image as well as put your manager into confusion. Keep one thing in mind that no one is indispensable in any company, and they will find the next person immediately. It is you who need to have clear directions and a path for your career.

In the famous book "Thirukural," it is mentioned that:

"For taking decisions, one has to think several times and give deep thoughts - Once decided
Never Look back and simply proceed."

This is a life lesson for any decision-making process. All the Best.

I have decided firmly but I’m afraid to face my Manager and HR especially my manager since I need to work 90 days under him(notice). And I’m now moving into other sector.

I have signed a bond for 2 years in an IT company, and I have completed 3 years in it. However, I have resigned once and served a 70-day notice, and then I took back my resignation. Now, I need to resign again in 20 days after taking back my papers since I got a job in another sector.

I don't know how to face this. Kindly suggest, and will I face any problems from HR legally if I abscond.

Dear Colleague,

My answer above is still valid. Kindly do not choose the option of "Absconding." Directly express your difficulties in continuing if you decide once and for all, and leave formally by adhering to the process laid down and being confident.

Hi Siva,

Thanks for providing inputs.

No, I'm talking in the worst case scenario. If I abscond in my case by submitting all my laptops, ID cards, and everything, then can HR and the manager cause me any legal problems? I have heard about companies filing cases. Could you please clarify this for me?

Yes, there are employers who file civil cases in such instances for a breach of the employment contract.

Thank you.
