I am not sure what your question actually is
If the company does a background check for criminal activity, and you have not disclosed it, then obviously they will reject your employment.
But that is very logical. So what exactly is the question.

Generally, being guilty of drunken driving is treated as a minor traffic offence and not a serious one affecting the employment prospects.

Drunken driving is not only dangerous to the intoxicated individual but also to others on the road. We have seen a lot of drunken driving cases involving the gory death of many innocent people. In addition, Police book such cases when the intoxication exceeds the moderate level only. Only persons who have scanty regard for the life of others and law as well would indulge in such dangerous luxury.
Well, coming to the query, even if the matter was disclosed by the poster in his application for the job, it depends on the mind set of the employer - some may take it lightly while others may view it very serious. If he had omitted it wantonly, it could be treated as suppression of material fact relating to his involvement in a criminal activity and can be viewed as a formidable negative factor.
CTS being an MNC originating from the U.S.A, if I were correct, may view it very serious for it is a grave misconduct in American employment standards. In case, the conviction was during the poster's pre-employment period and he is an exceptional candidate for the job, they may ignore this.
