Hello.. can any clarify my doubt regarding form V list of holidays 2021 in Tamil Nadu ... Independence day falls on Sunday.. do I need to include that in form V..?

Certainly Chitra; Form V is a statement under the TNFH Act, 1958 showing the details of the national and festival holidays which will be allowed to the employees in the concerned calendar year before its commencement. The purpose of its submission to the area inspector and a copy of its exhibition in the establishment is to ensure its correctness with the form III already approved by the inspector a well as to keep both them informed. It does not get altered with the coincidence of any weekly Holiday falling on such 9 predetermined holidays under the Act. Here, you should bear in mind the fact of shops and establishments working on Sundays due to the exemption granted by the Government in respect of weekly closure days during certain festivals under the TNSE Act,1947.
