Hello team, I would like to tell that due to covid 19, lockdown we got stucked in the city . Its been 3 months we have been working from home. when the situation is worst i the city company is forcing us to go office where 99.9% employees went to their village n hometown, when we mailed to go home after 3 months , the manager is not allowing us to go and work from our home, forcing us to stay here, or else to leave the company, in this case what should we do???
The covid cases raising ay by day near our locality, thats why we want to go home and wrk, but this is not fare what they are doing with us (only we 2)

Hi, Practically it's not possible to disobey when the employer insist to report for duty in the premises failing which to face quit the job. One cannot say 'can't report due to presence of +ve cases in the vicinity'. Unless there is total lockdown in and around your office declaring 'out of bounds' you'll have no choice. WFH is not the choice of employees 'suo motu'. You have to reconcile to the prevailing situation.

Hello, You can ask for alternate days possibilities from management, though its a crucial condition for both employee & employer, please try to convince them with an appropriate solution instead of going against management decisions.

Dear ANNONYMOUS,
What I understood from your post is as under:
During Covid 19 Pandemic you are working at home since past three months.
Where you stay, the area is red zone and covid cases raising day by day and therefore you want to go to your hometown.
But your company is not permitting you to go your hometown and asking you to report office.
You have no option but to report your office. But your company has to follow the directives of the Union of India as well the SOPs by the local Government / bodies.
You need to take precautionary measures and follow the directives by the Government.

Dear...
As we know, the whole world is gripped under COVID 19 pandemic and it's an unprecedented situation for all of us. The working environment is not going to be the same after COVID. The threat of losing of jobs / reduction in pay & perks is looming over almost for everyone. So, it's the time when we need to secure and manage our existing jobs, even if some of the guidelines / instructions / rules etc are somewhat unfavourable to us. We need to bear with it for the time being!
My simple advice is to follow the employer's instructions and seek help on genuine grounds, wherever needed amicably.
