Hi All, My employer has held my salary of Mar 2020. First he asked me to start work from home but i don't have laptop or pc so i couldn't do that and then he held my salary and now he is saying your performance is low. This is a small organisation owner/boss lives in USA. What should I do?
Please help.

The very basis of declaring your performance as poor is faulty.Company has to provide laptop for WFH.
To that extent action of company is wrong.
Who is your Indian /local boss?
Contact him and sort things out.
Action is legally possible but boss being in USA is out of reach for such issues.
Tackle at local level by contacting your team leader/manager first and see.

Company owner is also an indian but he lives in USA. There is a person who manages everything here in India he is also registered as company director. I talked to him but he said he can't do anything because owner is not releasing salary. As per the manager owner is saying he will release the salary after lockdown when office will get open.

If owner is saying that he will release salary after lock down then get this thing in writing from Manager / Owner. If possible keep all your communication in writing.

Manager said that over the phone call and i have the recording. Would that work?

Better to have it in writing. It’s way of assuring also rather than just false hope.
