Hello All, In my organization, we have given employee IDs to employees.. however, due to certain difficulties, we now want to rearrange and reallocate Employee IDs to our employees.. Can anyone suggest me the process and impact of doing this exercise ? Also, please where else we need to communicate about the change in employee ids of existing employees ? i.e. pf office, esic office or any other.

Dear Friend,
Firstly need to understand that why do you want to change the IDs already given. There can be little difficulty as you have to convince the employees with the justifications,otherwise no hassles.
Process involves to change in employee master sheets, employee records, personal files, identity cards,and attendance records/bio metric machines etc.
Here you have to note that no mention is required in EPF,ESIC ash their codification numbers are different.

Rightly said by Mr. Venkat there is no need to inform any external body as for them codification depends on AADHAR and UAN. But if we see you have make a changes in your internal data base and small error can cause a blunder so I suggest it should be avoided else done with great care.
