When trainee is confirmed as permanent worker, he would be eligible for all the benefits applicable to permanent workmen from the date of confirmation. ( ESI, PF Bonus, Leave facilities) In the normal procedure the Trainee would be issued a letter of confirmation with effect from … signed by the authorized authority. His wages ( as a Trainee, he would have been receiving consolidated stipend per month) would be now fixed in the appropriate wage structure (wage fixation) with Basic wages, and other allowances applicable to his cadre of workmen. It is also appropriate to mention in the confirmation latter, his roles and responsibilities and his reporting procedure in the organization. ESI, PF and Leave entitlement also would be mentioned. Add a clause on applicability of standing orders / Employee manual applicable to all permanent workmen.
