Employee joining the organization with Gross Salary more than 15,000. Our organization is under the PF act. Is it mandatory to deduct PF for the employee more than 15,000 salary?

We are currently covered under the EPF Act. All our employees are covered under the PF act. Now one employee is joining us with Basic + Other allowances more than 15,000 (Salary is 16,700). Is it mandatory to enroll the employee in PF, since his salary is more than 15,000. Kindly advice.
