Actually I’m worked in startup company, but there is no esi and pf deduction on salary, so please provide me the breakup for salary 13500
Did the company not mention breakup of your remuneration in your offer/appointment letter?
How come your organization is not deducting ESI? It is compulsory for employees drawing gross salary below Rs 21,000.
Usually Basic Salary should not exceed 40% of Gross Salary. Also, HRA should be 50% of Basic Pay(if living in metro city) or 40%(if living in non-metro city).
For Example:
Gross Salary: 13,500
Basic Salary: 5,400 (40% of Gross Salary)
HRA: 2,700 (50% of Basic Salary)
Conveyance Allowance: Rs 1600
Seniors, please guide for any corrections.

Let us know as to how many people are working in the startup to see what all are applicable under Compliance. For ESI it has to be minimum of 10 employees whereas it is 20 for PF.
