my name is preeti and iam working as an HR Executive in an engineering college. Iam asked to prepare a performance appraissal method for all the staff members in an engineering college. Could you please give me some tips and methods to conduct a performance appraissal which will help our management in an educational institute of 400 employees.

which method are you using for appraisal, closed or the panel method?
first of all catogorise them to prof/ asst prof/ lecturers & non teaching
fix a slab for all 4 catagories.
anylyse their job .
if they are active in paper presentations, r&d give thema perk ,appreciate by notifying them in a gathering.

I am working in an engineering college and my superior told me to increase an organizational effectiveness through absence of effectiveness strategy.
I have my own strategy but this is purely belong to my old company, and this is an educational institution, Now , what ,I have to do , kindly help me for the same.
