We are an IT services company with 12 employees. I need to know whether we have to enroll for EPF and deduct the same from the employees. The recent amendment said that the minimum number of employees has been revised to 10 from the earlier 20, is that correct.
Also, the basic salary of only 6 of our employees is less than 6500/-. Do I still need to enroll for EPF?

Dear Arun, If i’m not wrong then limit for minimum employees 20 only and basic salary limit is 15000/- and not 6500/-. Thus you may need not to go for PF deduction.

Please note that the present EPF wages ceiling is Rs15,000 and below. The EPF wage ceiling increased from Rs6,500 to Rs15,000 starting from September 2014.
