Dear all , If an employee withdraw a advance amount in EPF than is there any rule that after withdraw advance his liability in pension ends? Please suggest me? Thanks Rajender (HR)

Dear Rajendra,

This is to inform you that there is no connectivity between pension eligibility and partial withdrawal. Even though an employee goes for partial withdrawal, he can only withdraw the amount from EPF and not from EPS.

In addition to what Mr. Manoj said, it is only an advance given out of PF fund for specified purposes but not the final settlement of the PF amount. So, an employee continues to be a member of the PF scheme and consequently of the Pension Scheme.
