Any Other Rule Regarding Basic Salary 40% Of CTC?

Hello All, Greetings of the day! I want a help regarding Basic salary calculation policy. Is there any other rule regarding basic salary besides 40% of CTC. Anyother Thanks in advance

Nowhere there about basic salary as % of gross wages. Many orgs prefer the % to be 40.
