Hi all,

I am a Mobile Lead and I have been in the process with the company for one month. I cleared all four face-to-face and task rounds, and finally, on Thursday, I received a call from HR informing me that I have been selected and that they need to roll out the offer. The HR representative asked me to immediately send all the documents, such as salary slips, etc., as she needed to send the offer by evening since the manager had to leave for vacation.

I sent the documents within 2 hours and then waited for the offer. However, it's now the third day, and when I called HR, she mentioned that the manager had left before she could make the offer. Since he is traveling, he will check his email on his phone and approve it. I waited again on Monday and Tuesday, and today I dropped an email asking the same, but she has not replied.

Everything regarding salary, etc., was discussed, and there were no issues. She also asked for a verification number, which I provided, but so far, no calls have been made to those people.

Please let me know what could be the reason for this delay. I am genuinely interested in the position.

Regards

Hi,

I would say, have some patience. There are a lot of pre-offer processes to be carried out. Also, this is a festive season, and many employees would be on vacation. You see for yourself, your second post within a short time for no reply. "Patience" :)

Thank you.

Hi,

In my opinion, don't wait and look for other opportunities in the market. The simple reason is that the company does not take time to issue the offer letter if they decide to select the candidate. HR also knows that it will delay the candidate's joining and position closure. HR has its own targets for position closure. Therefore, if HR is not responding back to your emails or calls, then it clearly means that they are not very interested in your candidature. But in the future, they will contact you if they wish to.

Regular follow-up with them will undermine your position and show desperation to get this job. It will also diminish your chances of negotiation. Hence, I suggest not to further follow up with them and start looking for another vacancy.

This is my view.
