Navigating Career Growth Without Previous Experience Certificate - CiteHR

Hi all,

I worked in the previous company as a Proofreader for 1.5 years. I formally resigned from that company. Unfortunately, I lost my previous company experience certificate in an accident, so I can't go back and ask for a new one. However, my current company accepted my explanation. My question is: will my career growth be affected if I get placed in a reputed company in the future? What steps need to be taken to secure my career level?

Thanks, Eswaran Rk

So, now you are in the new company and you've lost the experience certificate of the company you worked for before this? This won't impact your career growth if you play it right. Do a good job in the current company, win lifelong allies, and get good reviews. Later on, when you go join a big company, tell them of the accident and your good reviews/achievements in the current company will get over whatever reservations the new company might have.
