I would suggest work and life balance to do deeper research in the topic, sub topic and every atomic task or activity level. How and a per son does spend his or her time in work or life.? When I recruit people for my organization, I pay and ask and rank people on personal and professional attributes. This is one way I would like you to introduce in your research results.
Now when it comes to personal and professional attribute you can look at www.medleyoffice.com Career section. You can easily define each and measure the effectiveness of their impact in social and professional life balance. This is an example.
Other if you are working in CMMI Level 5 company, PCMM standard HR process, you can do self devise standard in terms of KPI with respect to each other in work life balance but tghis require experience and guidance if you are not able to do your self.
I develop standard but lost the document which describe KPI in terms of 5 L5 CMMI for personal process.
Other approach ar e popular yu may refer to corresponding inventor of their hypothesis.
