On 24Aug07, I have resigned from organization given 15 Days of notice period i.e. I served the organization till 08Sep07. From 10Sep07 onwards I have to join new organization but unable to do so because previous company till yet hasn’t issued me any document which states I have resigned from the organization, due to which I am sitting idol from 08Sep07 onwards. On several requests the HR of the company states that same will be issued within next couple of days every time I requested.

Also I sent then an E-Mail my resignation to Previous and New organization HR to have an confirmation/acceptance of resignation but same is not replied, when I requested them to please reply to my mail that answer was It is not in the policy of the company to provide the same by mail.

I would be grateful if you kindly advise on the following-:

1.How much time a company requires to issue a Letter of acceptance/Reliving letter?

2.Do you think that I can enforce the company to legal as I got the job next day but I was unable to join that firm just because non availability of reliving letter.

3.Can I claim the compensation of the loss I have from 08Sep07 onwards?

Hi, If any employee resigns form the company and serves one month notice than do we need to provide acceptance of resignation or all the formalities are done at the end date.
do anybody have a sample letter of acceptance of resignation with in lieu notice claim. i have a case which a staff resigned in 24 hours notice. my boss wanted to claim in lieu notice,
