Measurement of training effectiveness requires tremendous organizational research. Yes, I am using the word "research." Usage of the word "study" would be a little milder. You need to do research on leakage or consumption of excess resources. Training is required to curtail that extra consumption or maintain a certain level of consumption.

It appears that you have not read the contents of all the links given in my previous post. There is no formula as such. You need to calculate the operational expenditure before the training and after the training. The subtraction is the effectiveness of the training.
The calculation of operational expenditure on various counts is not easy. This is where the maturity of the organization in general and the training professional in particular comes into the picture.

The formula is very simple, but calculating the sheer profit that occurred due to training is quite challenging to quantify:
Training Cost Calculation
Training Cost = X
Business Opportunity Lost Cost = Y
Increase in Profit = Z
Net Profit % = (Z - (X + Y) / Z) x 100
Obviously, time is a variable here and is adjusted depending on the type of training. For more information, feel free to drop me a mail. I don't know the nature of your company's business, but for a Sales Portfolio, I was able to provide an ROI (Return on Investment) Calculator to one of my clients.

1. Benefit or profit/cost
2. Return on investment: benefits of quality, quantity, or customer benefit/total training investment
3. Qualitative feedback by supervisors
4. Qualitative feedback by trainee on quality and input of training and training management.

Consider your quality Pareto chart for the month of June - it shows 100 spots, 50 tears, and 200 instances of dust. Conduct a training session focusing on the 100 spots, then compare the Pareto Chart for July, which indicates only 50 spots. This suggests that the effectiveness of the training is at 50% for spot-related issues. I hope this clarification helps you understand the concept better.
