Hi Friends,
I am Prithvi from Hyderabad. I got a job offer in a new company with a joining date of May 23rd. The offer letter was given to me on April 27th.
Now, I have a good relationship with my current employer; I work directly with the CEO of the company. The notice period in my current company is 30 days. However, I stated that I have a personal reason to leave earlier (which is true). The CEO very generously told me to write a resignation letter on April 30th, and he will give me a relieving letter on May 1st as the last working day. He is sad about my exit but respected my reason and offered to relieve me in just one day. Since May 1st, I am no longer working for the current company.
Now, when I show this relieving letter to my new employer on May 23rd, would it be a problem for them to see that I didn't work for the past 23 days? Would it be a problem for my future career to be relieved in just one day?

Hi,
It's good that your current employer understood you and relieved you. As far as the new company is concerned, there won't be any issue because they must have given the TDOJ after a discussion with you, and they seem comfortable with it. Relieving within a day won't be an issue as you will have an experience letter and a positive response from the CEO.
Secondly, when your new company asks about early relieving, you can tell them that you had some personal concerns, so you wanted to sort it out before joining the new company because in the initial months, a new employee can't avail this many leaves, etc.
Rest, see what our seniors say about it!
