Dear all,
I am working in an MNC in Bangalore and am still under the probation period.
Termination Clauses in Offer Letter
My offer letter has given me two termination clauses as below:
1. Under the header Probation: "During your probation period, your employment with the company may be terminated at any time, without notice or commission or assigning of any reasons thereof and at the sole discretion of the Company."
2. Under the header Termination: "Subject to the applicable law, this offer letter may be terminated by either you or by the Company by providing Ninety (90) days prior written notice to the other party, or by payment of basic salary in lieu of notice in case of termination of employment by the Company."
My doubt is that since the company may not provide me with notice to terminate my employment during probation, shouldn't it be the same from my side?
Thank you in advance for a reply.

Dear Dinesh, Are these two letters different or the same? If they are the same, it is very shocking to see different statements in one letter. Please confirm with your organization what they want to convey exactly through these two statements. Generally, the first statement is used in a probation letter, and the second one is used in a confirmation or post-confirmation letter.
