I want to leave the organization due to my exam being next week. The company requires a 30-day notice period, and I have 45 days of paid leave available. If I serve the notice, can I use my paid leave? Alternatively, if I resign without giving notice, will the company include my paid leave in my full & final payment? Do I have the right to request an experience letter or any other documentation from them? Please guide me.

Understanding the Purpose of the Notice Period

I think you are not understanding the purpose of the notice period. It is for a smooth transition and provides time for a replacement process. If you want to leave early, you should get permission from your HR/Department Head for a waiver of the notice period in lieu of accumulated PLs, if any.

First and foremost, I would like to ask why you want to quit your job when you have a sufficient leave balance. You mentioned your exams are starting next week and will last for nearly two weeks, requiring around 22-25 days, while you have 45 days of leave available. Why don't you consider taking leave to appear for your exams before making a decision to leave your job? This is just a suggestion, and ultimately, the choice on how to proceed with your career is yours to make.

Reasons for Leaving the Organization

I want to leave the organization because of low salary, office politics, game-playing, and misbehavior.

My Journey in the Organization

I joined the organization on April 13, 2012, as a Team Leader in the T24 section (Shop in Shop). After 6 months, I was transferred to the staple section. Within half a month, I was moved to the processed food with non-food section. I achieved the targets of my section, but I struggled with performing LIFO and did not consistently maintain the over-the-counter stock register. Sometimes, I did it, but not regularly due to heavy stock or workload. I dedicated one year to the processed food and non-food section. During this period, my reporting manager did not support me. I devoted 13-14 hours daily to the company, but they did not provide me with SAP training during that time. After completing one year as a team leader in the processed food or non-food section, they transferred me to Assistant Head Cashier during the busy days of Diwali. Following Diwali, they moved me to the toys and stationery section, and within a week, I was transferred to the plastic section. After another week or two, I was transferred to the home fashion section, where I am currently working.

Concerns with Provident Fund

Yesterday, I visited the EPFO to check my PF, and the last transaction was made in the month of May. There have been no entries after May.

Notice Period and Leave Details

I want to leave the organization, but they require a 30-day notice period. The salary is paid between the 24th and 25th of the month. If I serve the notice on January 5th, it is mandatory for me to work during the notice period. I am currently on leave, and the approval of the leave in the system was made on January 26th. On the 26th, there is a significant event in January. My PL balance is 28 days.

Please suggest what steps I should take.
