Being a customer support admin will not be the best career path for an MBA in HR. However, if that is the only job option you have, you can join this and leave once you get another job in a HR role.
Good Luck!

Dear Vinu
The only value a company will ever create is the value that comes from its customers. Businesses succeed by getting, keeping, and growing customers. Customers are the only reason that a company builds factory, hire employees, schedule meetings, or engage any business activity. Without customers companies do not have business. Some companies have been founded with customer-on-top business models, and customer support has been their strategy, and this has been their competitive advantage all along. This forms the basis of Customer support admn. Surely this is deeply related to the Behavioral Science, which is a part of HR. I feel this is definitely a better Career.

The whole modern-day economy is customer-driven. Incidentally, as a soft skill trainer, I conduct training programmes on Customer Service Excellence ((even yesterday I conducted programme for a company in Bangalore) and also Internal Customer Service.
These days getting the first job is real tough. Grab any opportunity that comes in your way, irrespective of your education, degree etc etc. Try to learn anything and everything in your present job role and develop yourself.. It is very difficult, these days, to get the job you want, the job you desire in the first instance. As one of our friends have told above, you work on this job, learn the techniques and when you get the right opportunity you can move over.
However, if you start liking the job, who knows you may become an expert on customer support over a period of time. You MBA education will certainly of use to you in any role if you utilise your education in your job role.
Best wishes

If you are on a customer support role, you should feel happy since an HR guy has always to deal (within the organization) with other departments, who are the internal customers of HR. So your exposure through this job will help in developing a vital leadership competency called 'customer focus'. You will be a winner in the business environment if you don't rigidly bind yourself to your academic specialization (ie, HR)..

Hi, the job will provide you greater insights into consumer behaviour and public dealing , which you may need as you have a correspondence degree. Regarding future , nothing can be said for certain.
Thanks and Regards,

This could be an excellent opportunity for you as explained below : -
a) It is very difficult to get as a fresher a job that too in a good Company.
b) This could be a stepping stone for you to enter into the Company and then look around, or may be if you really work hard, there could be opportunities within this Organization.
c) This could add a feather in your CV that you have worked for a good Company.
d) As one of the toughest job of HR is to deal with different kinds of employees / personalities, which this job will enable you to learn the nuiances of dealing with people, which could later help you in your HR career, as according to me knowledge of the floor will help you greatly.
This is good opportunity for you, decide and act accordingly.

Dear All;
All jobs are equally important, hence they exist. No job is available which will take an incumbent to the top position. Any person has to grab first job first and then go on adding skills so that the person can prosper. University degree helps only to get first job, thereafter it is the self skills.
Only thing that any nation, including India, is that everyone does his/her job sincerely, loyally, qualitatively, and to the satisfaction of his customer.
