Dear Ms. Pooja,
There is always a plan that includes with an intervening inteview phase and the probationary period decided for that position by the other Top Management. In additon to the probationary period assigned to the CEO is explicit for a limited period where he considerably takes the rein.
Therefore, check with your management for the time on hook and eye and chore acccordingly.

Hi,
There is no standard norms for Probation period, it depends up on the management discretion, they can fix-up the period, considering the level of designations / roles.
All terms & conditions for the particular designations, must be derived from the expectations of management / organization's objectives on these roles...

Hi Pooja!
Generally, all employees are covered by probation rules. However, based on company practices, executives are usually under a special employment arrangement. Among the practices in my country are Day 1 regular, shortened probation, target-based, contractual/per project, etc.
Hope this helps.

It entirely depends upon the terms of engagement.Though CEO,WTD,M.D. etc. are also supposed to be covered by the probationary period but usually in most of the organisations they are not covered.Even the punching of attendance cards are also not applied in their cases. To maintain uniformity in rules, they should also be covered because after all they are also employees of the organisations.

Hi
This is purely management decision. In most of the companies they use to follow probation clause as described below,
Officers /Executives - 1 year probation
Manager and above - 6 month probation
VP/CEO/COO - Direct employment without any probation period.
This duration of probation may vary from industry to industry.
Attendance policy is uniform to all since it is statutory.
Thanks & Regards
Pons
