Hi Seniors,

I am a bit puzzled while writing this thought - should I be fair towards my profession or go with my emotion? The case that made me think so is based on a situation for the employee who had reached 58 years and wanted to start his monthly pension. I was shocked to find that he would be getting only 200-300 per month as a pension amount since his basic is just Rs3200. Here, I am confused about how he will survive on 300/- per month. So, I request you to suggest to me what I should do.

1. Ask him to withdraw all his amount at once, which would be somewhat like 25000-30000/-
2. OR Do as he wants

Hi Parwej,

The main question here is survival, and based on your data, it would not be very useful whether he withdraws the whole amount or gets a monthly pension. The question here is the survival of the employee and his family. It is a question of your professional ethics and human emotions. Get him a decent job within your organization or outside.

Rajiv
