Dear Cite HR Members,
I was working in bank for 21 days then i left the job as I am suffering from cysts which have appeared on my neck. After 12 days I send my resignation to the branch manager as i can not continue my job. But after receiving the resignation letter m bank manager told me that they would not provide any release letter and they issue a absconding letter against me as I never get a job in the bank industry.
Kindly tell me that is it possible or can they do the same as mention above.

Yes, they can do that. For 21 days, no one will give you relieving letter. In deed, you have absconded...and later on decided to resign after 12 days of having absconded.

Hello,
Further to what Sanjeev Himachali clarified, what you mentioned doesn't really jell.
If the reason you mentioned ['cysts which have appeared on my neck'] is indeed true, you should have gone for medical leave--or at least submitted a Doctor's certificate. No one resigns for the reason you mentioned--it only smells of some sinister/unsaid cause behind your action. Maybe your Bank too had the same 'reading' when they did what they did.

Leaving without giving the notice period would surely affect the companies, whether banking of any other for that matter.

Secondly, it's not the right thing to do to join the jobs you are not interested in...

anyways, you may at any time quit the job, it is your choice, but you can not leave abruptly, the procedure you have followed is incorrect and not accepted, if you are not interested you must first serve them the notice period as per the employment agreement, and then you shall give reasons for resigning, (even during medical emergencies the employee will be on leave but he can not leave the job without informing the employer.....)

....you may leave the job and demand for the relieving letter after the completion of the notice period, and observing the other formalities if any as per the employment contract.

The employer may not provide you a relieving letter but since you have contacted the employer an given the reasons for the same you may temporarily avoid the absconding issue.......

So, go to your manager, provide the copies of all your medical certificates, and quote the valid reasons like cysts causing you the attention problem and you are very conscious about it and you can not freely concentrate on the work, and it has impact on your psychology,..... you may emotion if you have any impact on your physical body which hinder the working capability.....

Then serve your manager a notice with a resignation formally and complete the work assigned to you....

it will follow its path later in its right way......
