Dear All,
Under sustainable Development the Environmental Focus is on Reducing the Natural Resources. If Reduction is not possible then Reuse concept is to be followed. If both these are not possible then companies have to adopt Recycle methodology.
Attached is the ppt on innovative arts from automobile parts.
Reuse of waste parts can be seen in these arts.
I have posted same ppt on motivation category, but it suits very well here too.
Although motive of this ppt is very good imagination on ART, the concept resembles with reuse of the waste material.
Think on it.
If we could reduce, reuse or recycle, we help the next generations.
Thanks & Regards,
Sudhir

Hi Sudhir,
Thanks. This is a value adding subject you posted here.
As you ''3 R'' program is internationaly accepted concept. We usualy do a campaign on this once in every year just to raise the employee awarness of the importence of sound environmental practices.
Environmetal Issues are now addressed by most of the nations and organizations to prevent,
Climate Change
Depletion of natural resources
Environmental pollution
Waste Generation
The "3 R'' program,
Reduce - The voloum of natural resources we use
Reuse - Everything possible
Recycle -Everything Possible.
By doing this we would benefit,
• Sustainable development and wellbeing for future generations
• Meeting client & customer requirements
• Good Corporate governance
• Compliance with legislation
Sorry for long winding post, this is one of my favorite subject all the time.
Thanks,
Sam

I am quoting your introductory words in the beginning with a specific purpose.

What you have mentioned in the - reducing the natural resources, if not reuse, if not recycle, is perfectly right message.

But, I feel it is not perfectly represented in the attached ppt.

The sole purpose of Reduce/Reuse/Recycle is not achieved while creating the objects shown in the ppt.

Fine, that the show pieces resulting out of the rework are fantastic, but there must have been a lot of energy spent to reuse the unused automobile parts - if we believe that all the parts used were really reused and could not have been used for any other better recycle work.

When at the end of the rework of recycle of the objects, besides spending the energy (manpower + electricity for various operations) what is created are the showpiece objects, and not any usable machine or object.

This is a craze in the modern world to create such kind of artwork, which actually does not involve recycled objects, if not all, at least many of them would be new ones, made to look like old. What finally is created is an ART, which fetches a lot of money in the western world.

Sorry to contradict to the message.

The message should have reflected in producing a machine or an object of value in day to day life of an ordinary human on this planet earth (not the wealthy rich spoilt unwanted load on this mother earth)!

Dear jhpjayant,
Perfectly alright and agreed.
Some where in 2009 I presented an idea of reconditioning of old automobiles and make it new using most of the old parts to students of college of engineering.
Principally every one agrees but commercially such projects do not prove to be viable.
We should realy start thinking on these terms otherwise we will be compelled or forced to undertake those projects in the near future.
In fact when I retrieved this ppt, it reminded me of starting this thread.
I appreciated the person on his innovative ideas.
I take special efforts while training young engineers in R&D and Design Departments and provoke them to think to reduce the material content. If you have done any such projects, please upload for the sake of discussions on this thread.
However your thoughts are welcome.
Dear Mr. Sam,
If you have got any benefits from your various compaigns please share.
Similarly hsnks for your inputs on this thread.
Regards,
Sudhir
