Dear Friend,
Do you have anything in writing from employees about the attitude of those disgruntled employees. What actually they spoke about the HR and Management? You should have the details of 5 W and 1 H. - who, whom, what, when, why and How. Have all these details and prepare a data sheet, look at their past records. If it is a first one, call them and explain them the information you have and call for their explanation orally. If they agitate, or if it is habitual, charge sheet them as per your comapany's rules or clauses of appointment order .
Don't show any leniency for habituals

Dear HR folk,
Identify the work force who are spreading the words and assign them extra responsibility, Example you can make them as SPOCs for employee engagement i,e birthday celebrations, arrangements for fun at work, townhall sessions... etc, then they will come to know how painful to hear the comments like this.
Do not worry, and try to yunderstand their frustration towards the company and bridge them with top management.
Thanks,
Raam...

Firstly gaining trust and confidence is very important for any HR professional in any Organization which is not an easy task as most of the employees view HR as an employer's person is present in the organization to implement what all told by the employers. If people are spreading rumors that HR dept. is not supportive, find out reasons why such rumors are being spread and have an introspect into your team activities and see to it you phase out all negatives if any. Then slowly start spending adequate time with the possible rumor spreaders and try understanding the person's concerns and insecurities which can be addressed in a proper manner. And just don't believe in things which yours eyes did not witness or your ears did not hear.
All the best :-).

First analyse why they are doing so,
if they are right then try to adress their points and mean time tell them to give suggestions for improvements and thank them all and counsel them to first notify the problems to HR.
If they are wrong then you can place them in different areas which can keep them busy in work & after slowly send them for personality development programs.
I strongly believe this will work out.

Dear All,
Thanks, a lot. I conducted meeting with all on these topics and found most of the employees against him. I did counselling for 2 employees, who were involved in these activities.Warned them and found one of them working properly now.
One among them is very much negative, and we terminated that employee this month.
Thanks a lot to all of you for your's valuable suggestions and actions.
Thanks and Regards,
Sanjana
