Dear friend,
I would like to know that what are the rules applicable in your companies for attendance?
In my company we have framed the policy with consant of employees that late coming for three times for 10 minutes is allowed and afterwards every late coming will result in half day salary deduction.
But now the employee are raising voice against this. What can be done? As being liberal we were not able to start the office in time and it was like walk in walk out.
Please let me know the latest trend in the industry.

HI u c the same rule is applicable in our company but only to workers ,, to employees or officers there are no time limitations , even after office hours they stay,, keep one thing in mind,, if your employees are overloaded and need to stay almost everyday after working hrs,,, for even half an hour,, then relax the timings for them,, in my company even there is no record of leave for officers, even if u take leave it wont get deducted from salary even if quota exceeds, ,i was working in multinational company,, best is here u r bound to get confused from all the replies u get,, first analyse your industry type , and analyse the job of your organisations employees is it time bound or work bound and accordingly take decision,,,

Hi, All
This is the rule applicable in my office.
Office timings will be 1000 Hrs Sharp ( 15 Minutes grace period ) to 1800 Hrs and any staff comes after 1015 Hrs for two day not necessarily 2 consecutive day their third day will be treated as half day ( Eg : 6 days late a month will be treated as 3 half days a month )and the same will be adjusted in you allotted leave per year. Kindly sign the attendance register once you arrive with time in on it.
Due to work load if any staff is working till 2000 Hrs can come office the next day till 1030 Hrs ( 30 Minutes grace ) but has to be next day not any other day. And the out time in the register has to be reflected to consider the same.
Lunch Timing will be 1300 Hrs to 1345 Hrs.
Hope this would help you.
Thanks & Regards
Anjana
