This query I am putting is for those HR people who are not using any kind of software but maintaining the reports manually.

Topic - Leave and Attendance Management.

After maintaining the attendance sheet and leave details, Let me give you a gist of what kind of issues I am facing -

1) To follow the leave details and prepare a final report on monthly basis its difficult to count in under CL, PL.

2) To keep updated the leave forms, is difficult as I dont want to waste more paper, I have prepared a quarterly leave sheet but its not easy to update.

3) When the matter of comp off comes for working on sundays they take leave, but that updation never comes on time that, this particular day leave was a comp off.

What I am looking for -

4)I want to maintain a spreadsheet for all the compiled entry of leave - PL, CL, SL, attendance, compoff, extra leave with pay ( incase of SL).

5) Everytime its very difficult to cross check with same submission papers.

6) And I also wanted to have no use of leave forms ( hard copy or soft copy ) so apart from software is there any other way to do it.

I would like if you all can suggest with the details and how to manage step wise, plz do revert...

Note: I have checked many of the excelsheets and formats of leave but the compilation kind of, I have not got.



Dear Ms. Shalini,
Your query is bit complicated. Its not that easy to have everything worked out as per our requirements. We need to consider various factors associated with it.
Kindly email your precise/specific requirements rather confusing me. Will talk to my colleague, having sufficient experience in EXCEL as we can keep trying something new. If we can work it out, then we shall be able to meet your requirements else carry on the way it is.

As you said, it is actually complicated to compile everything in one sheet that is why i have this query in this forum. otherwise i am using separate excel sheet and paper work for this.

Hope you are doing good.

We are having customize ERP and SAP(exclusively for A/c dept.) and at the same time we are still using various EXCEL FORMATS for various purpose. We are trying our best to save paper but still the process is on and on and on. I still don't understand the total process because, are we trying to complicate or simplify the whole process. I believe its about our PATIENCE LEVELS that is making us to SIMPLIFY THE EXISTING PROCESS FURTHER while giving importance to ACCURACY, which is purely due to ADVANCEMENT IN TECHNOLOGY. Henceforth the world is shrinking and our lives too.

There is a way to get things done without wasting paper and i want you to explore various possibilities that can help you to carry out the PROCESS as the ACTUAL PROCEDURES, that can produce BETTER RESULTS, rather just giving up. At times, we may feel that FEEDING DATA is tired some job but without DATA nothing can be processed.

Lets hope for the best rather sticking to our expectations, which is not healthy factor.

I wonder why such resourceful information is not made available to the community members by CITEHR TEAM. What might have gone wrong. Who might have deleted that file?
I am trying to locate the originator/owner of that file. Perhaps, it will help us to upload it again.
