Dear Member,
As far as the matter relates to Gurgaon region it is clarified that the establishment is required to declare/grant three national & five festival holidays in a year under The Punjab Shops & Commercial Establishment Act, 1958 / The PIE (N&F Holidays and C&S Leaves) Act, 1965. Management is at liberty to increase the number of leaves/holidays of their own.

Dear Member,
According to the Bombay Shops & Establishment Act, 1948 an employee of a shop or -establishment is entitled to a paid holiday on 26th January, 1st May, 15th August and 2nd October every year. {Section 35(4)}

Dear Mr. Bisht,
As per U.P Shops & Act, 14th April (Ambedkar jayanti) is also to be treated as Holiday in Noida.
And moreover as per UP Shops & Establishment Act, there needs to be 8 public holidays.
