TAT is nothing but Turn Around Time, i.e, time taken to complete given task or how quick you work on given requirement

Dear Babanaresh,
It's difficult to answer your query, simply because it's ambiguous in nature! in which context would you want to know about TAT? You haven't provided any details which could help in answering it!!
TAT could also mean Thematic Apperception Test which a projective kind psychological test.
If you give out other details, I'm sure you will have many members willing to help you.

TAT
is turn-around-time i.e., The time required to complete an assignment or job. For example, an airline attempts to minimize the turnaround time required to get a plane back in service after a completed flight. A short turnaround time results in more trips and greater revenue.

Hi, Thematic apperception test is a Projective tests, used to know mainly EGO strength & any disturbed interpersonal relationship. It is not hazy picture. Here we show the pictures of persons in different life situations.By looking at picture the person who is taking this test should write a story. The story should have PAST< PRESENT AND FUTURE.
The person should write what is happening at present, what had happened in the past & what would happen in future. Based on the description of story one can analyse it.
Again to administer these tests one should have undergone training.Usually in India all the trained clinical psychologist has basic training in administering, scoring & interpreting. The Indian adaptation of TAT is standardized by Uma chowdhary.

Dear Babanaresh and Arun Prasad,

It’s commonly knows as picture story writing. There are series of cards having pictures (ambiguous test material) on them, which are given one by one to the subject... The subject is asked to see the picture and describe 1. What is happening in the picture 2 How could that event have taken place or what paved the way for the event. 3. What are the characters in the picture feeling and thinking? 4. What was the end result / conclusion? .There is no right or wrong answers for this. It helps a lot in bringing out a person’s attitude towards self and others as well as his or her perspective of the world including interpersonal relationships. Not only the content is interpreted but other aspects are as well noted like the tone in which was conveyed, did the subject get anxious in giving reply to certain pictures etc. Normally, TAT is supported by other tests or interviews in evaluating an individual. We use the Indian adaptation of TAT. The administration time is usually one and half hours to two hours.

Regards,

Shalini
