Dear Mr. Dkasar,

Thank you for your elaborate Excel file. As you rightly mentioned, members should suitably modify it to include or delete products according to their own industry.

Dear Mr. Ravichandran D,

Nice sharing... Very good one... Just a thought comes to mind; you may add a separate slide with the following:

1. Assembly points location. It would be beneficial to include a simple, overall facility map within which assembly points locations are marked.

2. In case of an emergency, what one is supposed to do.

Hello Mr Ravichandran,
This is a very good hand out.
The next time when you print these cards you may like to consider the following:
Page 2 first point….read the company’s Environment and Safety policy……
….read the company’s Environment, Health and Safety policy……
Page 4 fifth point…….If you notice any unsafe condition…..
If you notice any unsafe condition or unsafe act………….
Suggestions
The EHS card has to bear the signature of the competent authority.
The EHS card is to be laminated and the visitor has to return the same to security
before leaving. Safe guard and save paper !!!

Thanks again for your post.

As per Rule 18A of the Maharashtra rules regarding factories, only certifying surgeons are allowed to conduct medical examinations. Can anyone expand on this? What is the role of a factory medical officer in this scenario?

Secondly, what is the minimum that one should do as part of a factory medical examination, especially related to biochemical tests, hearing, spirometry, vision, etc., in a non-dangerous or hazardous industry?

Dear All

Enterprises in India are increasingly required to respond effectively to emerging Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety imperatives. There is also a growing realization that ensuring ‘Total Regulatory Compliance’ is an elementary pre-requisite to demonstrate sound business performance and upholding commitment to company valued stakeholders.

In India, the constitutional provisions related to environmental, health and safety have been given effect through a numerous complex EHS laws and regulations applicable to manufacturing facilities and building premises / commercial establishments. While responding to these EHS legislation, industry and business in India experience a great difficulty in understanding the complex legal provisions, institutional mechanism, their role, responsibilities, rights and various procedural obligations including penalties for contravention(s).

It is, therefore, an urgent and proven need to strengthen / aid the in-house techno-legal capabilities to establish, achieve and maintain regulatory compliance on continual basis and also enhance capacity to interact effectively with the enforcement agencies on legal issues.

Keeping in view the above, EQMS is organizing this 3 Days non-residential training course on Indian EHS Legislation - Compliance Management and Assessment at Vadodara, Gujarat.

We look forward to your kind consideration for nominations for the above programme.

Do let me know your interest to get detailed TRAINING BROCHURE & further details.

We assuring that the one who attend this training will get a comprehensive in depth knowledge on EHS Legislation in the country.
