Hi all,
Good Morning !!!
In the process of interview it is through conducting different rounds we filter the candidates, while processing the same is it necessary to intimate the candidates that they are not selected or how can we make them know that they are not shortlisted.
If their is no info regarding their status does this effect the company in any way, please throw your views on the same.

Dear Eafil,
Thanks a ton, was seriously waiting for the reponse !!!
As you said Feed Back is very important, But if we tell them that they are on hold, don't you think candidates would be in the set that they will be called soon, ( Is that we are making the base more strong ??)
Please clarify !!!

Hello there. It is important - and not to mention good on your part - to honestly tell a candidate about his status in a selection process. If he has not been selected you can always find out what he was lacking in and convey the same to him/ her - sure it isn't a pleasant news to deliver but then it's just one call and they will not harass you with n number of calls to know the status of their candidature. If you keep saying that there is no update, the only logical conclusion for them is that either u're not doing your job or you're a really small fry in the company who isn't worth being kept in the loop.

feed back to all the candidates should be a must in any case. But practice is different in corporate world which is not appreciable. If you are taking initiative it shows high level of ethics and professional values. U can learn the way to give feed back form the bharatmatrimony site the excellent way of declining the proposals, similarly a set language phrases can be frammed to give feed back to candidates for not selected.

Hello,
It is very important that you are aware of the status of each an every candidate ,as every candidate will create an impression about your orgainsation into the market/industry.
The best candidates hired are the ones who come from employee reference and i also feel that how you respond to the candidates invertly also is a part of retention.retention because as you are the face of the company anything you do reflects the company's image. So,ideally even if you do not know the status you can call them up and tell them that they will be addressed in some time.

It is very important and I even believe it is our duty as a company to inform all candidates about the outcome. Try to imagine it was yourself - wouldn't you like to know what is happening.
I also encourage candidates to call us and talk about the reason why they were not selected. We have used their time and I believe they have a right to know why they were not selected - maybe they can work on these aspects and improve themselves in another situation.
Kind regards,
Randi

It's true that if you tell people you are on hold you are giving them a wrong impression .Therefore i think in this case you could work on increasing communications in between departments .Also,a procedure of feedback within the orgainsation and find out why are there delays in you getting a feedback and work with them.
I have gone through this and improved my own system of working.

Bonjour
Hi everyone,
Could someone answer this question please.
At the end of the interview , if the interviewer asks when can the candidate join work and as well says that he/she would positively except a call on a specific/ particular day and specific time, then does it mean that the interview went well & the candidate will be selected??
Kindly help me with this..
